President's Message

This is indeed an honor to elect as President Pakistan Society of Neurosurgeons (PSN). I am lucky to have a very effective executive team working with me and providing me all possible support and encouragement.

The Pakistan society of Neurosurgeons always having a motive to gather all neurosurgeons of Pakistan at one platform and improve quality of training and services in the field of Neurosurgery. We are keen to strengthen regional and international links to uplift quality of learning. The collective dedication of our teachers within the PSN has consistently raised the bar in neurosurgical training.

Neurosurgery is a highly specialized field and need further trainings like spine, vascular, endoscopic, skull base, trauma, pediatric neurosurgery and functional. Pakistani neurosurgeons have the potential and need to be trained in these subspecialties, for that PSN is planning to strengthen sub specialties. Investment in the development of our neurosurgeons is essential to keep our field at the cutting edge of new technology. We are committed to establishing a comprehensive framework for lifelong learning, offering a range of training opportunities, workshops, and resources that cater to the diverse needs of our members.

Our aim is to raise the standards of training in Pakistan and motivate and create pathways to young neurosurgeons for their further training. Prioritizing mutual communication with neighboring neurosurgery societies will enhance our capacity to address the unique challenges faced by neurosurgical communities throughout south east Asia. We have to strengthen SAARC conferences to promote educational activities in this region. I consider it an enormous privilege to work with colleagues who share a common passion for advancing the field of neurosurgery.

Neurosurgical patients deserve excellence and this comes from your dedication and hard work, at your own neurosurgical departments. Additionally, our scientific journal, will continue to be a valuable resource for the dissemination of research.

By prioritizing training, education, and research, we ensure that our field continues to evolve, innovate, and provide the best possible patient care.
